A look at the life of legendary American pilot Amelia Earhart, who disappeared while flying over the Pacific Ocean in 1937 in an attempt to make a flight around the world. Amelia is a currently released 2009 dramatized biographical film of the life of Amelia Earhart, starring Hilary Swank[1] as Earhart along with a cast that includes Richard Gere, Christopher Eccleston[2] and Ewan McGregor.[3] It is directed by Mira Nair based on a script initially written by Ronald Bass.
